On February 16, 2023，the first China Family Charity Forum themed “Inheriting Goodness and Sharing Prosperity” was held in Beijing Cathay View Culture Co., Ltd. Gong Puguang, Vice Chairman of NPC’s Social Construction Committee, First Secretary of CCF’s Party Committee and President of China Charity Federation and Zhang Mingxin, Editor-in-Chief of China News Service attended the forum and delivered speeches. Sun Shaohua, Vice President of China Charity Federation attended the forum and presented certificates to the selected institutions of the family charity innovation project.

In his speech, Gong Puguang said that the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China appealed to advance and enrich the traditional Chinese virtues, strengthen the construction of families, family education and family tradition, make solid progress in promoting common prosperity and comprehensively carry forward the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization. Vigorously developing family charity is not only an important measure improve the pattern of income distribution and promote common prosperity, but also a beneficial practice to carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture and promote the construction of family education and family tradition. At present, family charity has become a unique charity form of wealthy families to voluntarily donate their legitimate private resources for public purposes, which has the distinctive characteristics of public welfare activities by complementing family reputation, altruism and self-interest and has become an indispensable and important part of charity with Chinese characteristics. It is believed that under the great attention of the Party and the government China family charity will usher in new high-quality development through the joint efforts of all sectors of society and will certainly be able to make new and significant contributions to promoting traditional Chinese virtues, helping social innovation and promoting common prosperity for all people.
