On September an activity celebrating the 5th China Charity Day was grandly held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. This activity was jointly sponsored by China Charity Federation, the Publicity Department of Henan Provincial Party Committee, Workers Committee of Departments Directly under Henan Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Civil Affairs of Henan Province, Poverty-alleviation Office of Henan Province and Henan Provincial Charity Federation and Henan Radio and Television Station.

  Gong Puguang, who is vice chairman of the Social Construction Committee of the National People’s Congress, first Secretary of the Party committee and President of China Charity Federation, Jiang Ling, who is Director of Publicity Department of Henan Province and Member of the Standing Committee of Henan Provincial CPC Committee, Ma Yi, who is deputy secretary and deputy director of the Party group of the Standing Committee of Henan Provincial People’s Congress, Dai Baihua, vice governor of Henan Provincial People’s Government, Xie Yu’an, who is vice chairman of Henan provincial CPPCC, Deng Yongjian, who is former vice chairman of the CPPCC Henan Provincial Committee, deputy secretary of the Party group and President of Henan Provincial Charity Federation, Zheng Gongcheng, who is member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic League, president of the Chinese Social Security Association and vice President of China Charity Association and Kong Dongmei, chairman of Dongrun Public Welfare Foundation were present at the activity. A total of 360 people attended the activity including leaders from local charities, representatives of enterprises and entrepreneurs, media, charity volunteers etc.
